The people complaining about the moderators and the questions clearly missed the point of this "debate". It was not meant to be a debate like what will happen later as the herd thins. It was about introducing all the candidates, giving them each a few minutes to present themselves in a very short period of time, and .....the biggee..... hit them with the tough type of questions that the mainstream, liberal media are going to try and bring them down with. It was all about making them extremely uncomfortable and how they handle themselves. I watched from about 4:30pm to the end of the second debate and at some point, this was addressed.
If you think these these were harsh questions, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. We all know that Hillary well be portrayed as Snow White going up against The Evil Empire.
If this had been a Democratic debate on MSNBC......it would have been all softball questions. Give Fox some credit for knowing what these candidates are going to be up against.

Clearly, Bernie Sanders is the one who is clueless.......yep, let's debate over invented and manufactured "problems". In fact, Carly's answer about climate change in the 45 minute video I posted was perfect.
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefi...bernie-sanders"It's over. Not one word about economic inequality, climate change, Citizens United or student debt,” Sanders (I-Vt.) tweeted as the two-hour-long debate wrapped up. "That’s why the Rs are so out of touch.”

stillers4me,
I can see where you're coming from, but IMO they didn't do a good job of setting up the candidates to introduce themselves. The early "kiddie table" debate did a much better job of this.
Questions at a Republican primary debate should be about what Republican primary voters are interested in, not the hostility they'll have to deal with in the general. At the very least, save that stuff for later debates. Right now people just want to get a feel for their options, and IMO the moderators did a lousy job of providing that.

Yeah, that's asinine. I saw a lot of this sort of griping from lefties after the debate, like they were expecting the Republican primary debate to focus on their liberal lefty agenda. I swear... sometimes I think these people get so wrapped up in their own ideology that they don't realize that there *are* other viewpoints out there.
News flash, Senator: If the Republicans shared your priorities, they'd be Socialists.

Oh, she's a criminal alright. She should be in prison.Screw that. She *IS* a liar, demonstrably an elitist, and almost certainly corrupt if not a criminal. and we all know it, which is why her positives have been tanking over the course of the summer.
I'm astounded that the Democrats would even think of putting this b**** up for nomination.
If not her, they are going to throw out Old Joe Biden and the base is going to embrace him like the second coming of JFK. And I thought the Republican's were supposed to be the party of old, rich men. All the Dem's have to show are 2 crazy old white men and an even crazier old white lying, conniving witch. The Republicans are the more diverse party...2 hispanics, one African-American (although I believe he'd just refer to himself as "American"), one woman, some other white guys....and The Donald.![]()

The elephant in the room is race relations.
They showed at the beginning of the debate that this was the # 1 issue among voters in America today.
Since minorities are now the majority I see this trumping all else for the majority of Americans when the lever is pulled.
I do not ever see a republican winning again.

And the fact that she "probably" is shouldn't surprise anybody.
One of the problems the Republicans face is a generational one. Voters under the age of 35 have no recollection of better times and how great America once was or even what being patriotic means. This "new norm" is normal to them. They vote for the only thing they know. It's "normal" to be on your patents insurance until your 25. It's "normal" to graduate college and move back in with mom and dad. It's "normal" to have illegal immigrants pour into every city and take all the entry level jobs and get free health care. And on and on and on....it's going to very hard to change this "norm" now that Pandora's box is open.

They already know who they want winner to be
Jeb Bush demands apology from Donald Trump for Megyn Kelly comments; 'What Donald Trump said is wrong'
Donald Trump's misogynistic rant against Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly led to his Republican primary rivals demanding he apologize for the disgusting remarks.
The conference's organizer, Erick Erickson, cut Trump from the roster after the billionaire buffoon lashed out at Kelly, who challenged him on his past misogynistic comments during the first big TV debate of the cycle.
Trump said Friday that during the Cleveland showdown, "You could see there was blood coming out of (Kellys) eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever."
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Saturday hit the motormouthed mogul for insulting Kelly and women at a conservative activists' conference and demanded an apology.
"Come on give me a break. I mean, do we want to win? Do we want to insult 53% of all voters? What Donald Trump said is wrong," Bush said to cheers at the RedState Gathering.
Not very classy or helpful, Bush said.
"That is not how we win elections and worse yet, that is not how you bring people together to solve problems. That is not the way to do it," said the ex-governor, who saw himself bumped to second place by Trump's June leap into the packed GOP field.
"Your decision, I think, was the right one," Bush told Erickson, who pulled Trump's invite to RedState on Friday. "Mr. Trump ought to apologize."

^ Well... to be fair, his rant against Kelly wasn't "misogynistic" in any way. Just childish and foolish.
But yeah... Kelly demonstrated how easy it is to set him off and get him to self- destruct out of anger. Imagine how easy it would be to trigger a meltdown that would cost the election.
Lots of candidates now who are polling ahead of Clinton head- to- head. Trump is the worst of the lot. I say let him go independent if that's his plan. It won't take him long to implode. All you have to do is not "be nice" to him.

The nerve!
It really irked me that she tarted herself up all week for the debate. Megyn Kelly is a very sharp, intelligent person. I understand that "sex sells" and all... but I take it as an insult to me and degrading to herself when she goes to such lengths to highlight her physical attractiveness.
If you're intelligent, reasonable, and objective I will give you a fair shake. I don't really need the "cheesecake" dangled in front of me to get my attention like I'm a drooling teenager.

Which underscores Jerry Seinfeld's (of all people) recent comment about college kids, which was absolutely on the money and can pretty much be expanded to liberals in general - they throw the words "racist" and "sexist" around so often and so loosely that they don't even know what they mean anymore.
"You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.”
“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” Retorted Trump.
Megyn “Does that sound like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”
Does that sound like a question any Dem would get asked on a debate?
Sen. Ted Cruz brings Red State Gathering to its feet repeatedly with a message of strong conservative policies.
Cruz, speaking from in front of the podium without notes, said he welcomes the large field of GOP competitors, and joked that its different on the other side.
The Democrat debate consists of Hillary and the Chipotle clerk. [LAUGHTER] Thats not fair Bernie Sanders has entered the race. [LAUGHTER]
So, they have a wild-eyed socialist with ideas that are endangering Americans place in the world and Bernie Sanders.
[WILD LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE] Theyre not even having a debate. They did plan to have a debate earlier, the problem was the invitation was emailed to Hillary.
There is a reason that the life, vibrancy, energy and excitement is with conservatives this year. Our country is in crisis, he said, effortlessly shifting the mood in the room. He knows the Red State audience better than most, having spoken here in each of the events seven years.
I want to talk to you as leaders of the conservative movement, he said. Youre informed thought leaders. Every person sitting here touches hundreds, touches thousands, touches tens of thousands. I wouldnt be in the U.S. Senate if it were not for the leaders at Red State.
The Cruzian defense of conservatism includes plenty of criticism of Republicans who either shrink from it when it matters most, or actively work against it in the halls of Congress.
Weve got to distinguish between campaign conservatives and those who truly fight for our values, he said.
Republicans keep winning and then we lose, Cruz said. We win elections and then the people we elect dont do what they say. We won the House and virtually nothing changed We won the Senate, we retired Harry Reid as majority leader. And what exactly has this new Republican majority accomplished?
[Audience shouts: "Nothing!"]
Its actually even worse than that, Cruz said. In this case, our teams playing for the other side.

Protesters shut down Bernie Sanders rally
Protesters who claimed affiliation with the Black Lives Matter movement stormed the stage during a rally for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in Seattle on Saturday, taking over the microphone and forcing Sanders to leave without ever speaking.
Moments after Sanders took the stage at Westlake Park, two women and one man climbed the stage and confronted the Democratic presidential candidate, demanding a chance to speak.

Post Debate Poll just released.- I guess the voters still like Trump

The funny thing about the support for Trump is he is not even that conservative, and Trump supporters like to operate under the perception that he is the only candidate with any guts, he isn't. He is all talk, he is low on ideas,as shown on his interview with Bill O Reilly when he said he will make Mexico pay for the border without clarifying how, is about as arrogant as Obama, and he acted like a petulant child criticizing someone critical of him, something Obama does regularly. And Trump supporters trashing Megyn Kelly and trying to dig up dirt on her while clinging to support of Donald look like Obama voters clinging to their candidate while trashing anyone who dare go against him. There are much better candidates, candidates that are more conservative, candidates who have stood up for conservative values on the political stage, candidates who have run governments successfully.
It's not Megyn Kelly's fault that Trump is an asshole.

I really hope your being sarcastic. Megyn Kelly is, indeed, a beautiful woman. And very, very, smart. And apparently that combination frightens or threatens people. And any woman is going to look her best on national TV......some of them just look better than others.
I didn't see any cheesecake in that debate. And as I pointed out before, it's not her fault that Trump is an asshole and she showed that he can easily be baited into showing how big of one.
