The importance of the Independent vote is overstated...
She's got minorities (not too sure if they can really be called that anymore) and women locked up already. That's all she's going to need.
At this point I have accepted the fact that the hildebeast will be elected in 2016 because the majority of Americans have iq lower than their shoe size and if they have any brain cells they are a. Dead and have been for a long time or b. Constantly misfiring

Trump leads GOP presidential field in new national poll
Media coverage of Donald Trump's controverisal immigration remarks have lifted the GOP presidential candidate to the top of the Republican field, according to a new Economist/YouGov poll.
Trump was the preferred GOP nominee for president for 15 percent of respondents — 4 points ahead of former Gov. Jeb Bush (Fla.) and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), who were tied for second place.
Gov. Scott Walker (Wis.), Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (Ark.) shared the third spot with 9 percent each.
In addition to being the first choice for the majority of likely voters who participated in the poll, Trump was also the primary second choice for those who preferred another candidate as their nominee.

Clinton is flip flopping on her negative sanctuary city comments less than 48 hours ago. I vote her best tackling dummy of 2016.

So did Rand Paul run for the republican nomination last election?

Donald Trump Talks: Gun Control, Assault Weapons, Gun Free Zones & Self Defense
I am a Life Member of the NRA and am proud of their service in protecting our right to keep and bear arms. The NRAs efforts to stop dangerous, gun-banning legislation and regulation is invaluable. The media focus on those efforts overshadows the great work the NRA does on behalf of safety and conservation. I have a permit to carry and, living in New York, I know firsthand the challenges law-abiding citizens have in exercising their Second Amendment rights".
I certainly stand by my opposition to Gun Control when it comes to taking guns from law-abiding citizens. You mention that the media describes the AR-15 as an assault rifle, which is one example of the many distortions they use to sell their agenda. However, the AR-15 does not fall under this category. Gun-banners are unfortunately preoccupied with the AR-15, magazine capacity, grips, and other aesthetics, precisely because of its popularity.
To the Left every gun is an assault weapon.
Gun control does not reduce crime. It has consistently failed to stop violence. Americans are entitled to protect their families, their property and themselves. In fact, in right-to-carry states the violent crime rate is 24% lower than the rest of the United States and the murder rate is 28% lower. This should not be up for debate.

UNSTOPPABLE TRUMP: The Donald is rocketing upward in the polls and dominating the 2016 race
The Trump campaign is a phenomenon rarely seen in presidential politics, boosted by his celebrity status, scorched-earth approach to his party rivals, and unfiltered self-promotion. Cable news channels have dedicated a seemingly endless amount of segments to Trump's comments. News websites have relentlessly covered every Trump tweet, outburst, and interview. Almost every single presidential candidate Republican and Democrat has either been willing or forced to respond to his statements
In a Economist/YouGov poll released Thursday, Trump holds 15% of the Republican vote nationally ahead of former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida (11%). But the good news for Trump didn't stop there.
A new Public Policy Polling survey of North Carolina published Wednesday also placed Trump ahead of the GOP pack among GOP voters in the Tar Heel state. In that poll, Trump led Bush 16% to 12%.
For his part, Trump appears to love all the attention and has agreed to interview after interview to further blast undocumented immigrants even with reporters who he likely knew would challenge him. One particularly combative interview came Wednesday, when he sat down with NBC News, whose parent company he fiercely berated over the Miss USA spat.
After NBC's Katy Tur questioned Trump's argument linking violent crime to illegal immigration, he told her she should be better informed.
"Don't be naive. You're a very naive person," he said.
When Tur stumbled while referencing some statistics to bolster her point, Trump mocked her inability to get the question out.
"Try getting it out. Try getting it out. I mean, I don't know if you're going to put this on television. But you don't even know what you're talking about. Try getting it out, go ahead," he said.

Donald Trump Says He'd Fine Mexico $100,000 For Every Illegal Immigrant Who Crosses Border
The Republican presidential front-runner got round after round of applause at successive events in Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona, at which he rounded on the Mexican government for allegedly 'pushing' undocumented immigrants to the U.S. to avoid dealing with them themselves.
Trump said that Mexico had been allowed to get away with the scheme because they are 'smart' and President Obama and his administration are 'stupid' - a situation which can only be fixed if he leads the charge to 'take back our country'.
'Every time Mexico - really intelligently - sends people over we charge Mexico $100,000 for every person they send over.
'Now they make so much money that that's peanuts. I could've made it much higher - but I'm nice. I'm in a good mood today'.
If Trump could enact the scheme, his proposed bill could spiral into the billions. According to the Pew Research Center, there are some 5.9million undocumented Mexicans in the country already.

There is a disturbance in the force
I can't believe I'm about to defend Donald Trump (he's a circus clown AFAIC) but here goes...
He's right about John McCain, especially his record on veterans' affairs. He maybe worded it poorly, but that's what you folks said you wanted.
And that's as far as I go. Trump has a habit of opening his mouth without engaging his brain and he doesn't seem to notice or care that he has no clue what he's talking about. He would govern the same way. He's a fun candidate but would be a train wreck as President.
Addendum to the polling number quoted above that nobody mentioned: On the last day of the sampling period he fell from 24% to single digits.
Best,
-Slashy

Donald Trump Heaps Insults on Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton, Others
A triumphant and unrepentant Donald Trump launched a barrage of personal attacks and name-calling on his campaign rivals Tuesday.
He called South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham an “idiot,” dismissed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as “weak on immigration,” and mocked Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s glasses and Hillary Clinton’s hand wave.
“What a stiff, what a stiff, Lindsey Graham. By the way he has registered zero in the polls,” Trump said, at an appearance in Bluffton, S.C. “A total lightweight. In the private sector, he couldn’t get a job.”
Earlier in the day, Graham called Trump a “jackass.” In response, Trump called Graham an “idiot” and held up a card that included Graham’s personal phone number, then asked his supporters to call Graham. “I don’t know, give it a shot,” he said.

Corporatist whore
Clinton rakes in Wall Street cash
Employees of five financial firms-Citigroup (NYSE: C), Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM), Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) and Bank of America Merrill Lynch (NYSE: BAC)-gave about $290,000 to Clinton's campaign committee through June 30, according to a MapLight analysis of Federal Election Commission data. While it makes up less than 1 percent of the roughly $47 million raised by Clinton's committee this cycle, it follows a precedent set in her 2008 presidential campaign, when the firms' employees were among her biggest donors.

Trump just threatened a 3rd party candidacy if not treated "fairly" by GOP. I'm starting to think Hillary has him on retainer.
