Walker definitely should be fined for this!
Absolutely. Needs reviewed by the NFL.
You can very plainly see #99 purposely swing his leg out to his right with clear intention on nailing Ben. There's no doubt as to 99s intention after seeing that video. How else does his leg get caught in that angle in the pic ?

Glad the Cheifs lost and I hope they lose next week
yeah i was not happy about this all i was very upset why no penalty on this? if it was brady or manning it would have been all kinds of laundry on the field
For those i love i will sacrifice.
Si ventus non est, remiga
My guess is that it happened too low while all the players were still standing. Honestly, I don't think it'd draw a penalty against any QB in that situation, simply because the ref's eyes aren't down on the legs of the players.
Had it been seen, however, it definitely is a penalty. Tripping at the very least. I'll be surprised if he doesn't get a fine for it.
Yea, i called it in the game day thread. Should have been a personal foul.

If that was Brady his leg would have snapped like twig.DDF

Definitely should be a fine and it should have been a personal foul. But what does Ben do, throws a TD.
Any flag would have been declined anyway.
All Defense!
BS, I saw it as it was happening and I'm not a ref assigned to certain areas of the play. That was a total blown no call by the officials. My only justification si that Ben breaks so many would be called in the grasps calls against other QB's that they just automatically give the D a pass sometimes when it comes to Ben. AND I'm fine with that as it allows Ben to make some of the plays that he does. My problem is the obvious inconsistency in the penalty/down by contact calling. Oh well, I'm glad they don't call Ben down ever time he gets touched by a defense player down. It would kill Ben's ability to make plays. I wish they would call it that way for all QB's.

Agreed, but it still should have been flagged. No flag the less likely for the league to look into it and issue a fine. That type of play is not needed in the NFL and could ultimately lead to serious injuries to a player. For all of Goofballs player safety claims this should get some attention but ultimately won't.
If it happened to any of them, Jackass would be making rules changes in midstream again.
Intent to injure looked pretty clear. Should definitely draw a fine from the league. Funny how a clean hit can draw a flag but a blatant cheap shot doesn't.

Oh well, that's football sometimes. It is not like Mean Joe Green hasn't done the same.

Please. Let's stop short of throwing Andrew Luck in this. Guy has been getting smashed around the last 3 years harder than ANYBODY and still playing at a high level. He actually plays football with balls. And great sense of sportsmanship too![]()

Saw this play while at work and damn near had a heart attack. It was most definitely intentional, and I was so worried Ben's knee was injured. Shoulda been a tripping penalty.
Chiefs notebook: Trip not intentional, Walker maintains
Chiefs defensive end Vance Walker said he wasn't trying to kick Ben Roethlisberger when he made contact with the Steelers quarterback's leg.
“I wasn't intentionally trying to trip anybody,” Walker said after the Chiefs' 20-12 loss Sunday to the Steelers at Heinz Field. “I tried to jump in there. Throw my hips in there.”
The collision came with 39 seconds left in the third quarter, when Roethlisberger moved forward in the pocket to throw a 3-yard touchdown to Antonio Brown. Facing first-and-goal, Walker tried to bull-rush his way into the backfield and said he couldn't see Roethlisberger.
The contact drew no penalty.
“I didn't know where he was, and I felt like I was being held, so I was trying to throw my body into the A-gap (between the center and guard),” Walker said. “I guess he came up right when I was trying to throw my body in there.”
The contact sent Roethlisberger to the locker room temporarily. He returned before the next offensive series.

Didn't hear Ben say anything about the play.Guess he thought it was December football, and could go ahead and hit the ole urinal up quick and get back before they get the ball back.IF i remember correctly, Ben has some of that hard to find atheletic ability too!

At first I thought Ben was faking a bit to try and draw a flag (drama queen!). But I was real nervous when they said he went to the locker room.
