Trump's love for Hitler.
https://www.theguardian.com/books/20...m-sciutto-bookDonald Trump’s second White House chief of staff tried to stop him praising Adolf Hitler in part by trying to convince the then president that Benito Mussolini, the Italian fascist dictator, was “a great guy in comparison”.
“He said, ‘Well, but Hitler did some good things,’” the retired marine general John Kelly told Jim Sciutto of CNN in an interview for a new book.
“I said, ‘Well, what?’ And he said, ‘Well, [Hitler] rebuilt the economy.’ But what did he do with that rebuilt economy? He turned it against his own people and against the world. And I said, ‘Sir, you can never say anything good about the guy. Nothing. I mean, Mussolini was a great guy in comparison.”
Kelly, a retired US Marine Corps general, was homeland security secretary in the Trump administration before becoming Trump’s second chief of staff. Resigning at the end of 2018, he eventually became a public opponent of his former boss.
Sciutto is a CNN anchor and national security analyst. His new book, The Return of Great Powers, will be published on Tuesday. CNN published a preview on Monday.
Kelly told Sciutto it was “pretty hard to believe” Trump “missed the Holocaust” in his assessment of Hitler, “and pretty hard to understand how he missed the 400,000 American GIs that were killed in the European theatre” of the second world war.
“But I think it’s more … the tough guy thing.”
Trump’s liking for authoritarian leaders, in particular Vladimir Putin of Russia, is well known. His remarks to Kelly about Hitler – like his former practice of keeping a book of Hitler’s speeches by his bed – have been reported before.
But Sciutto’s recounting of his conversation with Kelly comes amid resurgent fears over Trump’s authoritarian leanings, with Trump the presumptive Republican presidential nominee despite facing 91 criminal charges and multimillion-dollar civil defeats, and having seen off attempts to disqualify him for office.
Kelly’s remarks to Sciutto were published shortly after Trump welcomed to his Florida home Viktor Orbán, the strongman leader of Hungary.
Singing Trump’s praises, Orbán said that if Trump defeats Joe Biden for re-election, the US would not “give a penny” more in aid to Ukraine in its fight against Russian invaders.

This is utter garbage. It's clear that Trump is not praising Hitler as in the holocaust or anything else along those lines. Instead, he is praising the turn around of a country in hyperinflation and almost destroyed just twenty years or so before, and turned it into a major world power. Any historian or economist worth his or her salt has to agree on those facts. This is the problem with the blind hatred and emotion-first argumentation found in modern American politics. Well, that and headline-grabbing publicist remarks meant to sell a book.
And no, I do not like Trump nor did I vote for him in the last elections. But this is just stupid.

Are you really this stupid? Or is it just ignorance, or both? Why don't you try watching unedited, unframed news and video instead of the bs that your airport news feeds you. You've been duped. Get off the koolaid and give it a try. Educate yourself instead of settling for indoctrination. Try America first instead of last.

Bingo! He could be rich man if he collects all the rent he's owed.
But did he turn it around? Or did the Nazis just buy every gosh-darn gun, bomb, plane, submarine, and infantry boot that German industry could churn out in a systematic scheme of deficit spending that they knew was going to be "paid back" with the spoils of conquest?
There are several historians or economists that will argue that Hitler was forced into starting the war earlier than his advisors wanted because the tremendous deficits being racked up and the fact that the Reich was basically out of cash in 1939.
I could care less what Trump did or did not say. But, from what I have always read about the period after the Nazis take power and the outbreak of hostilities was that they spent oceans of money they really didn't have in order to re-arm and attempted to cover it all up with massive internal infrastructure projects so the rest of the world wouldn't think too hard about where all the gosh-darn resources went. But it was all a house of cards and only sustainable by seizing and holding territory and treasure as soon as possible.
But my 1930's German history is getting more than a bit rusty....
Tisk tisk. You and your usual uninformed and useless responses. Keep up the fine work. Here's one for you. What has the Biden administration done other than make it worse for this country over the last 3+ years?P.S. You can leave the hoaxy job creation claim out of it. Those levels are naturally returning to pre pandemic levels. Not to mention that a large portion of them are part time jobs and many are forced to take up more than one job to survive Bidenomics.Foriegn policy has been a total disaster. The border has been a rediculous country threatening disaster. Cost of living has increased for the average household anywhere from 7,000 to 11,000 per year. Weaponizing the DOJ.Political lawfare to try to take the strongest opponent off the ballot. It goes on and on. A disgusting bunch indeed. Oh,did I mention racial division and crime pays stance?America last.

Some of your complaints are about international problems such as the increase in cost of living. Some others were started under Trump such as paving the road for the Talibans return to power. But most laughable of all is your "America last" claim. You're supporting a candidate that tried to overthrow the government. I'd say that is truely America last.
He's too far gone Rocky.
You might as well steer clear of Biden's catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal. Too bad the delusional dumbs couldn't charge anybody with insurrection ,because there wasn't any. Fun fact..Trump recommended 10,000 guard troops to the Capitol for Jan. 6 but Pelosi passed. She sure didn't have a problem grandstanding with having 20,000 standing around scratching their ars with nothing going on and nothing since. Nice show Nan. You duped the rubes.Fun fact 2. The Capitol Police stood down and let protesters walk around and even took selfies with some. Fun fact 3.One Capitol Police was on video waving protesters on to the grounds. Fun fact 4. There wasn't a single weapon taken to the protest. Fun fact 5. Trump said peacefully protest. Sad fact 1. The Police vacated the doorway where the unarmed protester was murdered. The Policeman that died was due to a health problem . I'm quite sure your koolaid news didn't let you see any of this.
Keep hitting the pipe while avoiding the question .Wash down the crack with another round of koolaid.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump is now selling Bibles as he runs to return to the White House.
Trump, who became the presumptive Republican nominee earlier this month, released a video on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday urging his supporters to buy the “God Bless the USA Bible,” which is inspired by country singer Lee Greenwood’s patriotic ballad. Trump takes the stage to the song at each of his rallies and has appeared with Greenwood at events.
“Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible,” Trump wrote, directing his supporters to a website selling the book for $59.99.
The effort comes as Trump has faced a serious money crunch amid mounting legal bills while he fights four criminal indictments along with a series of civil charges. Trump was given a reprieve Monday when a New York appeals court agreed to hold off on collecting the more than $454 million he owes following a civil fraud judgment if he puts up $175 million within 10 days. Trump has already posted a $92 million bond in connection with defamation cases brought by the writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of sexual assault.

How Trump Moved Money to Pay $100 Million in Legal Bills
By Molly Cook Escobar, Albert Sun and Shane Goldmacher March 27, 2024
Since leaving office in 2021, former President Donald J. Trump has spent more than $100 million on lawyers and other costs related to fending off various investigations, indictments and his coming criminal trials, according to a New York Times review of federal records.
The remarkable sum means that Mr. Trump has averaged more than $90,000 a day in legal-related costs for more than three years — none of it paid for with his own money.
Instead, the former president has relied almost entirely on donations made in an attempt to fight the results of the 2020 election.
Now, those accounts are nearly drained, and Mr. Trump faces a choice: begin to pay his own substantial legal fees or find another way to finance them.

The good thing is that he won't owe a dime when all the farce dust settles.
