    Steelers notebook: Slow starts digging some big holes

    Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has described his team’s offensive approach early in games this season as “probing” or a “feeling-out process.” Sunday against New York, this included rushing attempts and horizontal passes that did not work as the Steelers netted one first down in the first quarter.

    The probing did not include throwing deep, even though the Jets were vulnerable in their secondary because of injuries.

    That was not the first time the Steelers have encountered slow starts this season. It has been a trend, with the offense and defense contributing equally to early deficits................

    I would call it, ' poorly coached ' ! Or, how about ' unprepared '.
