    Joe Greene's Renegade Tribute

Every Steelers fan knows about Renegade, the Steelers 3rd quarter defensive anthem. The jumbotron shows defensive highlights while Renegade blasts through the speakers and Steelers Nation rises and the stadium rocks with thunder! It's not unusual to see an opposing quarterback placed not so gently on his back (I'm talking about you, Phyllis Rivers ) after Renegade is played.

This past Sunday, Renegade featured one very special player.......... Mean Joe Greene.

Thanks for posting this! I think you (or someone else) has posted this before but I get a kick out of it ever time. Did you notice that they threw in a Hines Ward hit to a video about defense? Love that.

And did you guys happen to notice Suggs strumming an air guitar to it as he sat on the sidelines in the last game? If I were a Ravens fan this would really piss me off. They were getting their asses kicked and Suggs is just casually strumming along like he doesn't have a care in the world. That is not the kind of killer instinct you want from your best defender in the second half of a very important divisional game.

Didn't bother me as a Steelers fan though. It was like he'd already given up on the game.

Renegade is just completely AWESOME !! I love being at the stadium and feeling the awesome vibes that goes thru EVERYONE there ! I think they ought to play it at the beginning too, to help get the players PUMPED !

Some games they don't even play it. I think I saw an ESPN special on it or read in a magazine that the stadium people just use it when they need it and don't want to over do it.

I guess I might be wrong. According to Bleacher Report they play it every game. IDK

It is just a wild feeling as soon as the scoreboard goes black. The crowd reacts right away and it is just amazing.
