The Steelers defense forced three turnovers that set up 17 points for the offense in the 30-23 victory Monday night against Houston. It shut down the Texans running game after halftime, allowing 31 yards rushing in the final two quarters, and did not allow a touchdown in the second half until 1:31 remained on the clock.
It was, in many ways, the best performance the defense put forth this season. But it was a salty Dick LeBeau who met with reporters Thursday afternoon. The longtime Steelers defensive coordinator would like to see his unit develop some consistency.
“To be totally honest with you, we’re capable of so much more,” LeBeau said............
