Are unhinged rants like that common on other boards? While its funny to see in doses, it would get old in a hurry. Not sure if I will find another board when this place shuts down or not.

This place is more of an outlier. I find most other boards more contentious than this one. It's one of the reasons I really like it here and respect everyone.
At some other message boards you almost can't get through a single thread without the trolls coming out with their single-issue attacks on everyone.

In all honesty, I mostly hate communicating with people on the internet, as actual back and forth conversation is almost impossible. This was one of the few places I was a part of where it did happen.

I have gay friends and that is their lifestyle. No big deal to me, but to think that some keystrokes from a random hate filled person on the internet is actually something that I care about is really misguided.

Yeah, the internet has become such a nasty place.
I miss the days of my 33.6 Dial up modem and the days when folks were more caught up in learning how to use the internet to their benefit instead of how to hate on people and talk stupidity on it.... They need to wake up and step in. Seriously…it’s gone too far.
He is never going to be fired. We'll know if they plan to move on when they don't extend his contract in the off-season(expires after 2024).
They don't fire coaches. They let their contracts run out and just let them go. How many more years does Tomlin have on his contract?
Tomlin's current contract pays him an estimated $11.5 million in annual salary and expires after the 2024 season.

I realize they don't "Fire" coaches but "Parting ways" or Tomlin finding his next life's work would be a good path to take for both parties.

Mike Tomlin's contract was not extended this year. I've said it before, he's going to "retire" after this season and that's why they kept Canada because someone is going to come in and clean house. We are not watching a serious effort from anyone. Just like Cowher's last season.

Mike stared into the abyss with Pickett and blinked. The mismanagement of the QB situation last year, and pulling 2022 out of the fire took a toll on him. Bring in someone fresh and inject this team with new blood.
