That’s all because of a Tomlin. Had they had Adam Gase, Davis Shula, Nathaniel Hackett or Josh McDaniels they would won multiple playoff games and Super Bowls.

How silly of me to lose sight of that.

Getting a mediocre result from something poor isn't a great accomplishment. What about the mismanagement of the excellent players he's had? It can go both ways

Those that want to replace Teryl Austin, would you rather have Vrabel?

I don't particularly need to get rid of Austin, but I think Vrabel would be a good replacement.

Austin couldnt get pressure on Winston. All they had to do is double TJ? Was it that easy? Not an impressive display of coaching.

    Is that all they did?

What was the Steelers pressure rate?

Remember this was a Browns offense that converted ONE third down in a football game. One.

Well, half a game, the second half I am surprised anything was done with the weather. Our problem was not accomplishing anything in the first half

According to reports, TJ was doubled only 3 times the entire game (chips aren’t doubles). He ain’t right.

they also converted on 4th down what 4 times? One sack. What was the pressure rate? Didnt seem like there was much pressure at all. Maybe we should've rushed more than 4 more often.

How often did they rush 5 or more? Four?

Where the 4th downs mostly runs? That points to not the pass rush.

Football is complicated. Lots of factors.

Not enough, How did they get into that 4th and short? By moving the ball. How many knockdowns, pressures did Winston have? He regularly had plenty of time to throw. You have to entertain the thought that we were out coached and outplayed yesterday. It happens, specially on a short week.

No shit football is complicated. Lots of factors alright, including biases right?

Right. But watching from or couches while we are emotionally invested probably doesn’t lead to accurate conclusions.

    Finding specific answers might.

theres no emotion. Steelers, players AND coaches got their butts kicked on a short week against a bottom feeder. Its happened before to Tomlin and Austin. Im used to it.

Ok. But you’ve got nothing backing anything you’ve posted.

Maybe Winston got the ball out in 2 seconds on his drop backs. If that’s the case it’s not a pass rush issue but a coverage issue.

What’s Cleveland’s record with Winston as the starter?

How effective has their run game been as Chubb has returned to health?

So that's the latest excuse. Tomlin posts a mediocre 9-8 record year after year, but rather than it being a mediocre coaching job it is a GREAT coaching job because the team was really 5-12.

Using that "logic", Matt Canada did a great job last year because his offense got six wins in the ten games he coached when the team was really a 2-8 team.

So Tomlin had nothing to do with those rosters. It's all Colbert and Rooney's fault. Nothing is ever Tomlin's fault.

I'm surprised he keeps re-signing with such an incompetent organization.

The 1-6 Browns beat the Ravens too. But not really on a short week. lol

    You get a sticker!

Also the Browns are 2-2 since Winston took over and both wins were the division leader on a short week.

This is why I don't buy into the 'fire Stefanski' talk I hear on the radio shows. The Browns will Brown and how, but they won't fire the HC after this season. Will they?

I am not a Stefanski fan at all. Last season he stumbled into wins because they had to go with Flacco. This season, it’s looking sort of the same. But every year they give him a lot of talent and nothing happens.

Maybe they can get SB winner Mike McCarthy after the season's over. I have a feeling he'll be looking for another HC job.

This place is unbearable after a loss. Can't wait to unload it.

i watched the game, he had more time than Russell. Just a matter of fact if you watched the game. I dont know if TJ was playing hurt but he was doubled at least some of the time and i saw mostly 4 man rushes as Winston completed passes again and again. Again, no in game adjustment by the steelers to neutralize a mediocre Qb and a patchwork o line. Austin and Tomlin have been looking good lately and i applauded Tomlin for making Wilson the starter. But this game they all stunk with few exceptions. That includes Austin and Tomlin (by giving the browns an extra down, to misusing Fields, and not having the team prepared on a short week). I give Tomlin a pass because it was a-short week but again, this is what i expect from a tomlin team.
