Even if you want to say they were prepared, the gameplay was obvious shit...and there was never an adjustment made. I would love to know why Eli Rogers was benched a couple weeks ago...there's quite a few layers that should be benched for their shit play and a coach that should be fired tonight. Danny Smith is just terrible. TERRIBLE...ALWAYS HAS BEEN...
This is nothing new. Steelers are notorious under achievers coming off the bye.
What is really concerning is that we seem to have a Jekyl and Hyde act at QB. Ben is a monster at home, but he plays worse than Dalton on the road. It is a trend that I hope he snaps out of. Not sure if it is the crowd noise or what.
The evidence isn't in Tomlin's favor, and no one can deny that.
some of you guys make me lawl. was anybody here expecting ben to come back weeks early from a knee injury/surgery and light it up?? now that he didn't we're back to the fire ben, tomlin, butler, and haley?
I would've been more surprised if he played well
It's not so much that Ben was shit...it's the culmination over the years of the same old story from Tomlin's teams...under achieve against garbage opponents, lack of discipline, poor football fundamentals, lack of concentration, poor coaching decisions...it continues to happen time and time again.
we will not beat the cowboys even though we are playing at home and i will not watch that shit show...

Seems coaching wasn't at fault on the blocked punt but lack of communication between our two craptastic safeties - Davis and Golden.

Coaching also had nothing to do with Finney not knowing/remembering the snap counts.
This is the salary cap era NFL. Starters are veterans and suck up most of the cap. In order to make that work 80% of the back-ups and rotational players are guys in 1st-3rd year in the league. They are still raw and not really NFL ready. Steelers are not the only team with this problem. I believe this is the biggest reason for the sloppiness, poor play, and "bad" games seen across the league. Coaching can not overcome lack of real live NFL game reps. We are seeing that preseason doesn't really mean a damn thing - just ask Sean Davis, Artie Burns, Hargrave, Eli Rogers, or Sammie Coates.

Who is going to replace Tomlin?
Jim Harbaugh? He's not leaving Michigan, and he isn't going to join a division where his brother coaches.
A lot of overreaction, we lost a game against a divisional opponent where our QB played like crap for most of the game.
Ben's presser yesterday said it best. It's not time to panic. This team HAS been here before. Pay attention to the veterans and follow Ben's lead. Playoffs here we come.
My only hope is that in week 17 that the Steelers control their own destiny instead of hoping that someone else loses after we win.
Well the steelers are home for this this one and, I think they will win this game. Typical Tomlin Steelers play good against the better teams and, lay eggs against the teams they should beat.
Once in, Tomlin teams fair well (because, he does better against stiffer competition):
2008: three wins
2010: three wins
2015: lost to the eventual SuperBowl champions
Before someone mentions 2011 (the Tebow game), remember that a) BB was hobbled, and b) the Steelers were in game-winning FG range... until BB took back-to-back sacks. A healthy BB wins that game in regulation (doesn't take those sacks).
Oddly, the hard part is getting in.
We came into this season as favorites and offensively dominant, as advertised by ALL the talking heads. We hit some turbulence and how the rats are jumping. 8 games to go. Are you in? Or out? We beat Dallas this weekend. Why? Because we f'ing need to. And because we can. Then we go on a freaking win streak and win his division. In the playoffs! Getting healthy and dominating. Let's go Steelers!!!
Get this idiot asshole the F out of here already. And take Keith Butler and his shitty defense with him. Colbert and his pathetic draft picks can go too. What a fucking disgrace. Try a few more 2 pt conversions you stupid idiot. You're so damn clever Mike. Way to blow another one. I'm sure you'll have some cool quips though
What a disgrace

Merry Christmas
Yep, it's time.
There is only one disciplined player on defense. Harrison. Why is he disciplined? He is from the Cowher-coached era.

Nice coaching effort loser. At this point if broomsticks occupied the head coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinators, they'd be upgrades over the mindless halfwits that are wasting value space at the position right now
