Does Roger Goodell realize that dropping the hammer on Rice now in this manner after the previous slap on the wrist he gave him only makes the entire league look that much worse? There's enough caustic press on Rice now that no team in their right mind would touch him anyway.
Too late, Roger. Too late.
Burn Roger Burn!!!
Strange, normal people "saw enough evidence on the first video" to make the right call. The NFL, Goodell and the Rats didn't.
The NFL should be fined.
Too late, Rog.
NFL heads should roll for mishandling. Goodell should be kicked out for the cover up that is blowing up in his face as I type this.
All Defense!
Only Goodell could make a spouse abuser a victim. Which in fact is what has happened because of his initial fumbling of the case. Had he given Rice a year with the possibility of appeal to an independent panel, the league would have looked better and Ray Rice would have ended up better. Not that I care about Rice. But due process being what it is the punishment should match the crime, not exceed it. And him essentially losing his career over for what could be a first and only offense is excessive.
