Bu... bu... bu... bu... but they hate Ben. So how's that happen?

Ben and Troy are obvious, Suisham is understandable, Golden was surprising
First time than Polamalu is a captain
Not sure I like Troy P. as captain. Don't get me wrong, I love everything he's about, and last year I thought he looked more like himself than he did in a couple of years. The reason I don't like him as captain is because I don't see Troy as a natural leader. He's a playmaker and a great teammate. I even see him as someone who will take people under his wing. But I worry that making him a captain will take him too far out of his comfort zone, and that it might then affect his play on the field.
On the other side, I like Golden as a captain of special teams. Two years into the league and still only 23, this may be a good move to mature the kid a bit more and ready him for a starting position on defense and eventually, a leadership role there as well.
Ben has truly grown into being a leader. I don't think it came naturally to him, at least not at first. But there's no doubting it now. Gotta love the fact that he actually ran receiver routes to show a rookie what he wanted.
Congratulations to all our 2014 Team Captains.
