Brett Keisel played 12 seasons at defensive end for the Steelers. A seventh-round pick from BYU, Keisel was an integral part of two Super Bowl champion teams and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2010. He is best known for his long beard, which he grows during each season and donates to Locks of Love in the off season. His nicknames include "Diesel" and "The Beard".

Levon Kirkland played nine seasons at linebacker for the Steelers. A second-round pick out of Clemson, Kirkland was named to the Pro Bowl twice and was honored as a member of the NFL's All-Decade roster for the 1990s. He is currently the linebackers coach at Florida A&M.

Casey "Big Snack" Hampton played 12 seasons at nose tackle for the Steelers. Hampton, a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion, was the Steelers' first round pick in 2001. Along with Keisel and Aaron Smith, Hampton gave Pittsburgh a dominant defensive line. His career accomplishments earned him a spot on the All-Time Steelers Team and induction into the Pittsburgh Sports Hall of Fame.

Cameron Heyward is the current starting defensive end for the Steelers. The team's first-round pick in 2011, Heyward is the son of former Pitt star Craig "Ironhead" Heyward. He appeared in every game in each of his first three seasons and took over the starting job in 2013.

Greg Lloyd wore #95 for the Steelers from 1987-1997. He was an integral part of the Blitzburgh defenses of the 1990s and made five Pro Bowls. His on field toughness was legendary, leading to the popular catchphrase "Avoid Lloyd".
