to soon for me to put down a serious mock , still some guys I have yet to grade I am interested in ....

But Lyons in the 1st round ? really ?

He is the second best CB on his team IMO and do not look for the best Stanford CB to go until mid / late round 2 ( Carter )

    what am I missing ?

or did you mean Trey Waynes ?

Ah, only missing the date. That post was near a year ago. He didn't live up this season, wouldn't touch him until the 5th probably.

I actually like this one ... But will be surprised if Hickey last that long

Thanks. I think Brandon Scherff may fall if there is a run on corners, leaving him as the best option versus a reach on a CB or OLB. I wanted to find a place for a tight end, but nobody seemed right for the round. I agree with you on Hickey . . . he might go as early as the 4th.

Really hard to mock until we see what moves, if any, the Steelers make in free agency, and what comp pick(s) they are awarded.

I'm hoping Tennessee trades down, and then uses some of their accumulated picks to move back up to 22. Having the Titans' second and third (or fourth/fifth) combined with the Steelers
current second and third would yield a lot of players from the sweet spot of value in this draft.

    Nice draft!

I've been hoping the Steelers would draft Millers replacement for the last few years. I'm not so sure about this class tho-- if there are some great TE in next years draft, I would hold off. I think Miller, Blanchflower and Spaeth will be okay this season. If we can get Varga where you placed him that would be great!

    1) T.J. Clemmings - OT Pitt. Let the competition begin
    2) Ronald Darby - CB FSU. He can bring the Swagger back
    3) Lorenzo Mauldin - OLB Louisville. Fits the 3-4
    4) Ifo Ekpre-Olomu - CB Oregon. Steal him
    5) Blake Bell - TE OU. Has time to develop behind Miller , Spaeth
    6) Matt Jones - RB Florida. Big back type.
    7) Nick Marshall / Jermaine Whitehead - DB. Auburn
