I think we will see them try to work a long term deal before the start of 2015. This just takes some of the pressure off.

what took so long? i would prioritize extensions on the team right as:

2) Jason Worilds
3) Cortez Allen

I would agree with the first two, but I'm not sure I saw enough from Allen last season to warrant an extension........yet.

he played really well second half of last season and looked like I had envisioned for the first half ....

I toss out the first half because he did not have a full off season program , did not have a preseason , was tossed into the melting pot with a full off season of rust and ailing knee still not completely ready to go and it showed ....

I would lock him up now if possible while he can be had at a reasonable price ....

offers 5 years 25 million with a 5 million signing bonus ..... yes it is dirt cheap for a starter but it is also more money than he has ever seen in his entire lifetime just in bonus money

i know what you mean, im cautiously optimistic and give him somewhat of a pass for his injury. i only want an extension now because i think he'll come full circle to what we all expected him to be and itll be cheaper this way.

Ha, he'll be far cheaper than that if we lock him up right now. i fear that if we dont move quickly and toss him a bargain extension before the possible big breakout season like we did for antonio brown, we could end up losing him or other stars/future stars like pouncey or heyward. although id rather trade pouncey if we can get a lot out of him
