This Gameday Program was to mark the inaugural game to be played on Sept. 16, 2001 at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field, against the rival Cleveland Browns.


The tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001 caused the postponement of all NFL games for the Sept. 16th weekend.


The program includes a letter from owner Dan Rooney to Pittsburgh's fans, which would later be included in the Steelers' actual Heinz Field debut.
