15 S HA’SEAN CLINTON-DIX ALABAMA: Clark and Polamalu will both be gone before the 2015 season, it would be wise to select the best safety in the draft now to play along side Shamarko Thomas in the future while we have the opportunity. Provides depth for this year
46 DT AARON DONALD PITTSBURGH: Hood will most likely not be returning in 2014 (hopefully), Kiesel might be gone in 2014 and most likely won't make it to 2015, depth along the d-line is needed
114 OT JUSTIN BRITT MISSOURI: Best available player that fit a need not already drafted. Will provide depth and someone to play in relief duty when the OL experiences their annual rash of injuries
145 CB TERRANCE MITCHELL OREGON: The CB depth is thin in personnel and even less thin in ability. Ike Taylor whose ability has withered away could be gone before 2014 and will be gone before 2015
176 WR JOSH HUFF OREGON: Depth is an issue as only Brown, Wheaton, and Moye are currently under contract.
207 RB DRI ARCHER KENT STATE: Another skill position that is experiencing a shortage of depth as only Bell is under contract

Round 1 Pick 15: Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA (A)
    Round 2 Pick 15: Hasean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama (A)
Round 4 Pick 15: Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers (A)
Round 5 Pick 15: Daniel McCullers, DT, Tennessee (A)
Round 6 Pick 15: Antone Exum, CB, Virginia Tech (A)
Round 7 Pick 15: Antonio Andrews, RB, Western Kentucky (A)

Decided to do one straight up, no trades, and this is what I got.

If we get two 3rd round comp. picks, could add an ILB, and a second CB, or maybe a OT.

Dix round 2 pick 15 is why I have such issues with these programs , just not realistic wish someone would design a program that was more realistic because it is a lot of fun

Sometimes getting someone you know you can't get makes it even more fun.

Thanks Bud, but I don't know how realistic Barr is. He reportedly ran a 4.47 at UCLA, if he does that at the combines. Well,,,, you know.

hehe not to mention the fact you more than doubled our allotted picks via trade ( as most of us have been doing ) but not to realistic for us to actually do it ( but perhaps we should )

this is the time of year our late round Gems become middle round targets that get snagged a round earlier than we are willing to commit ....6th rounders become 4th rounder who get drafted in the 3rd round / sigh

How does Mike Evans, Stephon Tuitt sound as a 1,2 draft. Trade the 4th and 5th to move up. We are guaranteed comp picks

with the amount of needs , the need to get younger I would NEVER consider trading up ... I like as many selections as possible in the meat of the draft and the 4th round of this draft should have a lot of talent to pluck still

Round 1 Pick 26 (CLE): C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 14: Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech (B+)
Round 2 Pick 23 (CINN): James Hurst, OT, North Carolina (A-)
Round 3 Pick 19 (CLE): C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa (A)
Round 3 Pick 24 (CINN): Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss (A-)
Round 4 Pick 22 (PHI): Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska (C+)
Round 5 Pick 22 (PHI): James White, RB, Wisconsin (A)
Round 5 Pick 29 (PHI): Christian Kirksey, OLB, Iowa (C)
    Round 6 Pick 16: L'Damian Washington, WR, Missouri (A-)
Round 7 Pick 15: Dakota Dozier, OG, Furman (E)

The site didn't think much of this draft, but I kinda like it. Still like Fuller and Jean-Baptiste, particularly if Taylor moves to safety. Think Mosley could play either ILB, or OLB for us. I still like to two Iowa boys. Think CJ will be a very good pick for us, and Kirksey is built for the ILB spot.

I got to believe Lewis will bring a 3rd ...as will Wallace ....

Multi year deal , had the play time , was a starter

    Mendy a 5th , or a 6th perhaps ...... 1 year deal , split play time

but you just never know on comps for sure until they happen

i dont understand why there isnt some formula to calculate this out there for the public.

If they put out a valid formula, that would not leave room for punishing teams that don't fall into the party line.

    http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2013/6/7/4403374/cowboys-with-up-to-four-compensatory-picks-in-2014-draft

    Wallace will bring a 3rd ( 5 year $60 million)

    Lewis will bring a 5th ( 5 year $25.5 million)

    Mendenhall will bring a 7th ( 1 year $2.5 Million)

May get another 7th when you calculate other free agents gained / lost in the 2013 season.

Going on that formula, if and when Emmanuel Sanders leave he will more than likely bring a 5th or 6th round comp pick ( depending on free agents signed)

http://draftbreakdown.com/matthew-mo...wo-round-mock/ talk about climbing up draft boards .......

when I first brought up Baptiste here , outside of Tex I am not sure anyone knew who he was , draft boards all over the net was giving him a 5th -6th round grade .... now I am seeing him picked by the Steelers at 15 ........

unbelievable climb and we have not even got to the combine/pro days yet

was bored so did it again lol

Round 1 Pick 20 (ARI): Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State
Round 2 Pick 20 (ARI): Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss
Round 3 Pick 6 (JAX): DaQuan Jones, DT, Penn State

Round 6 Pick 16: Devon Kennard, OLB, Southern California
Round 7 Pick 15: Max Bullough, ILB, Michigan State

and did yet another , going into it CB and WR would be my top priorities early and would take any and all trades in round 1 as long as top 2 CB where on board as soon as 1 came off I was making my selection ... gained 3 3rd rounder real quick ... knew I could get Moncrief in the late second so applied same philosophy to gather more picks end result was this ...
