Pirates "P" to become Primary Logo

According to several very reliable sources of ours, the Pittsburgh Pirates will be announcing shortly that they will be dropping their primary logo which they had used since 1997 in favour of the yellow "P" logo which has been on the front of their caps for as long as any of us has reading this has been watching baseball. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, the "P" is an icon...on the other hand, I will miss having a pirate head as the primary logo. I still think they should have brought back the pirate head logo they used in the 1980s through the mid-90s.

Now, can they PLEASE get a RF and 1B, and NOT someone off the junk pile for once?

It kinda makes sense to me. Just a few weeks ago, I emailed MLBshop.com and asked them when could we start seeing new Pirates gear with the new logo. I was told in the email that they were receiving the new stuff now and that it would be soon sold. I've been running through and seeing the gear. For example, I have this t-shirt, but it has the current Pirates logo on the left sleeve. The updated version of the shirt has the P. I will miss the current logo and I also wish they could go back to the late eighties/early nineties logo.
