Running on 1st and 2nd down is awesome until it's not. It's easy to look at something when it happens to work and say, "see? That's the formula." I will look back on our record this year and say that it was not the formula we should have been using given our personnel. I think there are games we would have won that we lost if we had embraced that we should be a "pass to set up the run team," for the most part. If we win this game you could say that it was because we ran to set up the pass on the first series, if we lose I might say it's because we didn't throw on first down more often and perhaps we would not have been in that 3rd down situation that led to that turnover. We'll never know. I think given the weather conditions we should run more in this game than most, but it will be passing the ball successfully that will make us or break us. Passing on early downs in bad weather can lead to some huge plays, especially when a defender slips.

Lessee - the Browns are up 6-0 on the Pats late in the second quarter in Gillette. Golden Boy is 5-15 for 71 yards, one INT and a 21.6 QBR. Ten bucks says they go in at halftime, make some "amazing adjustments" and score 40+ in the second half for about the 4th game in a row.
