Steelers’ Gay rises above criticism

A quick Google search of ‘William Gay Stinks' comes back with more than 102,000 results in 0.19 seconds.

There are Facebook pages dedicated to the topic, endless threads on message boards, Twitter posts galore and even one of the suggestions on Yahoo! Answers for why the Steelers lost Super Bowl XLV was because “William Gay stinks.”

Some fans may believe that, but the Steelers surely don't.

Funny thing, a search for "Willie Parker sucks" turns up 4 times as many results. People must be on to something.

Also funny was that the fourth-place result was this gem from the old message board - mainly because of the amusing comments by some Ravens troll who got banned. Good times.

Ike's got a point. I've always said, he can cover, but somehow he still gives up the reception.

I think he'd make a better safety.

He is a scapegoat because he always gets burned or plain run over Adrian Peterson style. I would throw at him with my eyes closed to the 4th wideout and probably have a 90 QB rating.

Probably even higher. Joe Flacco throws with his eyes closed and somehow managed an 87.7 QB rating, and that's just from chucking the ball straight up in the air. You'd probably be looking at 120, 130 easy.
