Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said there was some “frustration” with new offensive coordinator Todd Haley's system last season, but only because plays that long had one name in the Steelers' offense were changed to fit Haley's terminology.
Roethlisberger doesn't believe there's any coincidence that the Steelers' best stretch of offense during their 8-8 season a year ago came when he ran the no-huddle offense throughout most of a four-game midseason winning streak in which he went back to calling plays by their former names.
Roethlisberger, Haley, the other offensive coaches and players such as Heath Miller and Maurkice Pouncey met during the offseason to streamline the offense and make it more familiar and comfortable to the players...........
