Roethlisberger admits ‘frustration’ with Haley system last season

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said there was some “frustration” with new offensive coordinator Todd Haley's system last season, but only because plays that long had one name in the Steelers' offense were changed to fit Haley's terminology.

Roethlisberger doesn't believe there's any coincidence that the Steelers' best stretch of offense during their 8-8 season a year ago came when he ran the no-huddle offense throughout most of a four-game midseason winning streak in which he went back to calling plays by their former names.

Roethlisberger, Haley, the other offensive coaches and players such as Heath Miller and Maurkice Pouncey met during the offseason to streamline the offense and make it more familiar and comfortable to the players...........

I went into that article thinking the same thing, XT, but it's actually a really good, balanced article. Shows maturity on both Ben's and Haley's part. Give it another read and see if you come out of it with a different idea.

It is understandable that ben a guy who likes to extend plays and create would be frustrated by a quick short pass offense.

If I'm Ben's agent or confidante I'm telling him you don't have to express every feeling you ever had. Or better yet, save something for the book you plan to write...... after your career is over!

Well if we end up 8-8 again haley will have a lot more to worry about than wether ben likes his offense or not.
