Aaron Hernandez's drug testing deal rookie year letter

I can see why the Pats drafted him. If any rookie wrote me something like that, I'd think he was a standup guy willing to take responsibility. I'm sure there's some lawyerly editing, but it seems rather honest and accountable to me. Very strange that what they really had to worry about was him busting caps in people and not off beer bottles.

The letter addresses any recreational drug use, but it doesn't answer questions to his involvement in gang-related activities. And apparently there were some questions raised about his character outside of drug use.

Hell, if he had been smoking the chronic, Odin Lloyd would probably still be alive...

Guess he was still using drugs too.

From Dave Altimari's Twitter after reading the police report that was released today.

"Inside a safe in Hernandez home police found a scale and a dish used to weigh drugs."

Although obviously not the important thing, probably does make it a bit easier for the Pats to recoup some money if they did end up putting the terms Hernandez allowed in the new extension.

If he had a scale, he was dealing. The supposed gang ties and the assasinations sound a lot like hardcore dealer activity.

Altimari has a ton of nuggets on his Twitter.

And Deadspin has compiled some of the most interesting from the report.
