    Another major obstacle looms

Steelers right tackle Marcus Gilbert knows he and his teammates on the offensive line will have their hands full Sunday when the Detroit Lions and their aggressive front four visit Heinz Field. From his view, the last thing the team needed was another distraction.

The latest came courtesy of the second report in the past few days from the NFL Network, this one saying some teammates believe quarterback Ben Roethlisberger must become more "cerebral" and prepare better when he is away from the team's practice facility. The report also said Roethlisberger's unwillingness to change his style of play is the biggest obstacle in his remaining with the team long term.

Gilbert, for one, is tired of it all.

"We don't need any of that nonsense," Gilbert said. "I guess someone has a personal agenda out for him. But they don't see the things we see, especially being an offensive lineman. He works with us as much as anyone. We like having him here. He's helped us progress over the course of the year.

"From what I see, I think he works just as hard as anyone on the offense. He's trying to fix this thing and turn this around."............

"You've heard people brag about 'being in the zone'. They don't know what the Hell being in the zone is about. I played in the NFL for 15 years and I was only in the zone that one time." - "Mean" Joe Greene on the 1974 playoff victory over Oakland

"I would love to find out what these sources are," Roethlisberger said in the radio interview.

If this stuff is true and If they are in house sources, it's further proof that Tomlin has lost control of the ship. It shows his authority is very weak and not respected. Or Art II is playing games again …..or both…..and both suck imo.

QFT. Whoever's saying this crap to NFLN needs to STFU.

Yeah it's funny that Ian from the NFL BS network was the person I heard reported this. Let's be real how about the season Eli Manning has had? I have not even heard one negative comment about him.
