Well he's probably had that opinion since John Madden dissapeared from the public eye

I thought he would come back this year for sure. A part of me still feels like he will but who knows??

He's coming back. He just couldn't do it without creating a media storm.

This doesn't mean Favre returns but hearing Vikes increased offer for 2010 base salary from 13M to 16M.

    --------------------

Brett Favre has told ESPN's Ed Werder that he will play for the Vikings this season as long as he's healthy.

To be clear, no final decision has been made yet. Favre is still testing his surgically repaired ankle. His presence on a Mississippi high school field Wednesday morning is obviously a positive sign. Favre denies sending a retirement text message to any Vikings personnel, and we still expect Favre to re-join his teammates before the start of the season.

The man will play till his 50s at this point. I'd love to see that, but the offseason dramas have got to stop already

He has a chance to achieve some big milestones if he comes back--500 touchdowns, 70000 yards, etc.

It all depends on his ankle.
