Worst Draft Picks By Each NFL Franchise AFC Edition

Pittsburgh Steelers: RB Tim Worley 7th overall in 1989. The Steelers haven’t had many high picks in the last 35 years. In fact, the highest, Tim Worley at 7th, is probably one of the worst. Worley had 15 fumbles in his first two years, then was hurt in his third. Drug problems also de-railed his career in Pittsburgh. Gabe Rivera, selected in 1983, was the saddest, as he was in a drunk driving accident as a rookie and paralyzed.

Worley like Mendenhal had all the talent in the world and never realized it

I liked the "Is this the best QB class since 1983?" headline.

The only good one in that class was D-Mac.

What makes a draft pick the worst? Outcome or talent? The best a franchise can do is pick with the criteria available. There's no way to know if a guy is going to turn into a coke head after getting his first million dollar payday or become like Haynesworth and just decide he's tired of playing. IMO bad draft picks are based on forgoing better options.

I would have thought Huey Richardson, 1st round pick, never recorded a sack, cut after only one year
