What's *really* disturbing is if you go into the cross-tabulated data a disturbingly high percentage of voters don't remember who they voted for. Somehow, that's even *worse* than the conspiracy theories.

Now... a few of these things, I don't think it's fair to characterize them as "conspiracy theories" or fringe beliefs. The global warming thing, for instance. Probably the only example where a healthy dose of skepticism toward a sketchy assertion is treated as a nutty belief.
The "Saddam was behind 9/11" thing is more of a case of misinformation than nutty unfounded belief. And as for whether Dubya "intentionally misled" us about WMDs, there's no way to know with certainty one way or the other.

fair enough but i dont know what the disagreement would be based on, considering the science on global warming show it is happening. Its actually a huge conspiracy theory because it implys scientists all of the world are conspiring to make up global warming, for what reason i dont know.

I'm also at odds with the JFK assassination thing. #1 if the majority believes it, is it nuts? Well... maybe. But there's enough hinky stuff that went on there to raise eyebrows. Maybe not accepting a disputed claim of fact as gospel isn't quite the same thing as believing a disputed claim of fact.
