Both are tall....I just read that Alexander has had five knee surgeries. Maybe Barden....here's a little info on him.

both are very interesting
Alexander was injury plagued and many thought would never play again ..the Chargers gave him a shot and he played with a brace ... but he played lights out , he scortched us bad too by the way ( if ya have the Steelers vs Chargers game on tape give it another look and focus on this kid he was pretty dam good ... 7 catches -88 yards and a pair of TDs ) all while wearing a big clunky knee brace
He looks pretty quick for a big guy.

Alexander is very good when he's healthy. He just hasn't been healthy a lot.
Why not Lloyd? He just got cut by NE and he's a proven WR. He'd get the ball more here than he did in NE.
Just my oppinion, but he has a longer stride on him. I have always thought that a brace effects that type of runner lest than the quick choppy strides. He also has the size that lets him go up after the ball even if he is pretty well covered. Could at lest be a red zone weapon. Might be more usefull to us than a 3rd or 4th round WR

No thanks if this is so.

Why not? He'd just take over for another #1 receiver we just got rid of who was an idiot, who replaced another #1 receiver who was an idiot, who replaced another #1 receiver who was an idiot, who 10 years later finally wised up. We're used to this. I don't know why out of all the positions on the field, the biggest divas are always the WRs, but that's just the way it is.
Anyway. If not Lloyd, then if Sanders goes whoever takes over for him will probably be a draft pick. Because let's face it, the rest of the FA receiver market this year is really scarping the bottom.
See you Space Cowboy ...
If we are going the FA route we are going to have to roll the dice on somebody at this stage of FA, we are not going to find a top tier guy this late and with our price range.
I would not go as far to say " Bad " but I would say run of the mill outside of those 2 seasons , and that being said I would also guess he feels like he is worth more than the market SHOULD dictate , making him a tough sign and then probably discontent ...
discontent often leads to malcontent and that is never a good thing in team sports ....
To me Barden is an interesting choice. Seems to have tons of upside, could come in a decent price tag
Merry Christmas
Anyone who can put up those kind of numbers isn't a bad receiver. That was an offense that was perfect for his skills and he produced. Since then he hasn't gotten the ball nearly as much. He can catch but he's not a YAC guy.
Looking back at his stats since then, I think that maybe after that one huge season he started to think too highly of himself and became too much of a diva. If that's the case then yea, I don't want him.
I think it would be more than worth their time to take a look at Barden. I mentioned it somewhere else, but if they are interested in someone who can take the top off a defense and feel that they can manage crazy -- Titus Young.
IMO, they will be better off taking a WR in the draft. Say around the 3rd round or later.
