    Steelers 2010 Training Camp notes

Steelers started first training camp practice with Ben Roethlisberger running 1st team, Byron Leftwich the 2nd team & Dennis Dixon the 3rd team.

Newly signed offensive lineman Flozell Adams is wearing # 71 at right tackle.

Rookie Maurkice Pouncey passed his morning run test and is working behind Trai Essex at right guard.

Quarterback Byron Leftwich was given a few snaps with first team offensive line and 2nd team wide receivers.

Head coach Mike Tomlin truly is sticking to his non-rhythmic comment as far as quarterback rotation is concerned.

Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said, "We're going to switch it everyday, but to start the first day, we put our guys out there like we ended up in the spring."

Hines Ward says Roethlisberger is making more of an effort to be more personable with teammates.

Ward is weraing tape with his name WARD on it again, much like rookies normally are made to do.

Roethlisberger says he is not on Twitter.

Pouncey did receive some reps with the first team at right guard.

The Steelers second team offensive line was Tony Hills at left tackle, Ramon Foster at left guard, Doug Legursky at center, Maurkice Pouncey at right guard and Jonathan Scott at right tackle.

Wide receiver Mike Wallace says his route running is much better.

Stefan Logan, Mike Wallace, Antwaan Randle El and Antonio Brown all took turns fielding punts.

Safety Troy Polamalu going through drills and looking healthy thus far.

Bryant McFadden was first team left cornerback opposite Ike Taylor and had a big hit on Ward.

Returning free agent Antwaan Randle El worked as the #3 receiver in the slot.

Lots of #7 jerseys in the crowd as the second practice is about to begin.

Big Ben gets loud cheers from Steelers fans as he walks down to field.

Huge cheers for Troy Polamalu as he walks down to the field.

Nose tackle Casey Hampton not practicing in the afternoon session.

Rookie wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders nice short burst.

Leftwich was starting quarterback during 9-on-9 running drills.

Rookie running back Jonathan Dwyer looks to have a ice wrap on hamstring.

Larry Foote working behind both Lawrence Timmons and James Farrior at both inside backer spot.

James Harrison puts crushing hit on Rashard Mendenhall after catch on first play of 11-on-11 with Roethlisberger at quarterback.

Rookie Pouncey and veteran Adams look good on the right side of the line
