(Miami) Stadium deal might hinge on SB 50

MIAMI -- Even if voters approve using tax money to help upgrade the Miami Dolphins' stadium, a deal might be contingent on the NFL awarding the 2016 Super Bowl to the city.

The Dolphins confirmed Monday they've reversed their position and agreed to a referendum. A no vote would scuttle the plan.

Geesh, with tickets sales and merchandise sales and how rich the owners are you think there could be enough money between the team and NFL to avoid the taxpayers having to fork over any money, particularly for an upgrade

Dolphins have a huge fan base down here. Now if they put a winning team on the field that could make the playoffs, they would sell out all the time. You cannot legislate a winning team.
