Proof Manti Te'o Met His Online Girlfriend

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--ma...043012320.htmlReport: Manti Te'o admits to 'tailored' accounts in girlfriend hoax but denies being part of scheme
Notre Dame's Manti Te'o finally answered questions Friday night about the Lennay Kekua girlfriend hoax, saying in an exclusive interview with ESPN that he wasn't part of it – although he "tailored" his accounts of meeting the woman – and that the alleged mastermind of the hoax apologized to him.

The Manti Te’o hoax is shameful, a cold-blooded manipulation of people’s emotions. Who manipulated, who was victimized and what was gained is still up for grabs, but it’s impossible to believe Te’o wasn’t a perpetrator.
To paraphrase Robert DeNiro in “Casino,” if Te’o didn’t know he was being scammed, he’s an idiot. If he did know, he’s in on it. I’m betting the latter. Te’o is guilty. We’re just not quite certain of what. Te’o deserves zero sympathy.
Also deserving zero sympathy are Sports Illustrated and ESPN, the media giants who promulgated the fraud. SI and ESPN don’t want to report the news. They want to dictate the news. Lennay Kekua doesn’t exist? Gee, it would be better if she did. It’s such a great story. Let’s run it. Their reporting was sloppy, their fact-checking non-existent. They have unlimited resources, yet still blew it.
Neither SI or ESPN has apologized. Both are leaning heavily on Notre Dame’s stance that Te’o was the victim. They think they don’t look so bad that way. They’re wrong. SI’s Pete Thamel and ESPN’s Gene Wojciechowski are excellent reporters. But firing them for their failures here should be considered.
Notre Dame also deserves zero sympathy. Notre Dame protects the brand before telling the truth. Notre Dame is crying more tears for T’eo than were shed for Lizzy Seeberg and Declan Sullivan in 2010. Seeberg accused a Notre Dame football player of rape, then committed suicide after university inaction. Sullivan, a videographer for the football team, was atop a 40-foot aerial lift that collapsed in 53 mph winds. He died. Sullivan should not have been up there.
Notre Dame should paint a blindfold on Touchdown Jesus. He sure doesn’t see what he doesn’t want to.

If Chris Rainey had an imaginary girlfriend, he’d still be a Steeler. If Jovan Belcher had an imaginary girlfriend, he’d still be alive. I look forward to the NFL scouting combine.

I will never again have the same level of faith or trust in Notre Dame football.

A fake person who loves you, then dies: Sounds right up Notre Dame’s alley.

*It’s the second time in two weeks Notre Dame got victimized by a cruel hoax. The first time, the BCS ranked them No. 1 and made them play Alabama!
*If Te’o was naīve enough to be duped like this, he probably believes in the Pirates’ five-year plan!
*Te’o is Mormon, so he probably has multiple fake girlfriends!

Hes lying people, he definetly was involved with the hoax.

whoa @LATimesfarmer: Reader Timothy Lashlee points out this: The name "Lennay Marie Kekua" contains all the letters in "leukemia.""
I love how NFL wide receiver Michael Crabtree being under investigation for sexual assault doesn't receive 1/100th the attention despite the fact that what Crabtree may have done is 100 times worse than what Te'o may have done. Let's not forget that the worst that Te'o may have done still pales in comparison to actual crime which is committed on a daily basis
