That was their first playoff win. If they lose that game, no telling what kind of a spiral they go into after that.

Also, winning that game, I assume, put them later in the draft and their draft position would determine EVERYTHING from there on out.

I disagree. The Steelers took a step back in 73 and were thumped by the Raiders in the first round of the playoffs.

What turned them around was the 74 draft that added 4 Hall of Famers to the roster. Guys that came right in and contributed in a big way.
