Not even sure why that's news, though it's good to hear.
He should've received a check from the front office for that penalty call.
What a statement on the state of the NFL, that an absolutely legal hit, as seen by millions of people on live TV, (except one official), is even considered to be a hit that may cause a fine. That in itself is proof of how inconsistent the NFL has been in meting out punishment and fines.
There should have been absolutely no question that Clark's hit was 100% and the ref f'ed up.
BTW, the refs last night, during the Jax and Colts game sucked big time. Even Mike Mayock was dumbfounded on some of the calls that were going against the Jags. Yes, we are miles ahead now that the replacement refs are gone.
This is true, even if the true refs are not perfectYes, we are miles ahead now that the replacement refs are gone.
nobody is perfect and the games with the replacements refs was very painful to watch
One Steelers safety cleared, another fined for wallop
RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Victor Cruz said earlier this week he didn't think the hit from Ryan Clark that had knocked the wind out of him in the end zone this past Sunday should've been a personal foul.
Apparently, the NFL agrees.

Will Allen did get fined.
Allen fines????....why?
Hit on Victor Cruz in the 1st Quarter. $7875. No flag on the play.
What a crock of shit!In the first quarter, a pass for Cruz on a crossing route was broken up by Keenan Lewis. After the ball fell incomplete, Steelers safety Will Allen slammed Cruz and knocked him to the ground. Allen was fined $7,875 for a late hit, which means the league believes a flag should've been thrown.
Allen wasn't penalized, and the Giants punted.
Did they fine the Giant who did the elbow drop on a an already down Chris Rainey?
"A man's got to know his limitations."
Well they couldn't fine Ryan Clark so I guess they needed another scapegoat.
