Or maybe it's a matter of breaking down scar tissue and increasing strength. In other words he does seem to be slowly but steadily improving, so maybe he can play himself into shape.
By that I don't mean he let himself go. But anytime you have surgery you're going to lose strength and flexibility.
I don't think he'll ever return to DPOY level, but I still think he may have a couple more good years left.
I'd love to see them sign him to a restructured more incentive laden contract.
