Redskins vs. Steelers: Pittsburgh preparing for Robert Griffin III

The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for arguably the most dangerous player they'll see this season, Washington Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a stiff test when the Washington Redskins and rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III come to town on Sunday. Neal Coolong of Behind the Steel Curtain says Griffin is the best player the Steelers have had to match up with so far this year.

Griffin currently leads the league in both completion percentage at 70.4 percent and in yards per attempt at 8.47. As Coolong points out:

Not since Patriots QB Tom Brady's MVP season in 2007 has a quarterback led the league in both categories after 16 games.

It is only seven games into the season, but RGIII also brings more to the table than just his completion percentage. In addition to Griffin's passing efficiency is his extraordinary running ability. In the Redskins last two games he has rushed for 227 yards and he has 468 yards rushing with six rushing touchdowns on the season.

Despite being a rookie, he is already feared and respected around the league. After the New York Giants defeated the Redskins 27-23, defensive end Justin Tuck said he'd take Griffin over Vick or Cam Newton, "hands down."

Coolong adds that no rookie quarterback has ever beat the Steelers with Dick LeBeau as the defensive coordinator, but "this is the most significant challenge he will have faced in that time."

Yup, it's going to be an interesting afternoon. Good thing we are at home and coming off a road win.

Maybe Colon should play 1 down on D and give RG3 the ride of his life.
