More Tebow in offing
The New York Jets traded for Tim Tebow in the offseason to give its sometimes-vanilla offense a shot of flavor.
The idea is to have Tebow replace Mark Sanchez and run the spread option offense in certain situations.
But so far, the Jets’ offense has remained somewhat flavorless.
There was no spread option in four preseason games and only a handful last week that proved to be insignificant in a season-opening 48-28 win over Buffalo.
But if last year’s AFC wild-card game against the Tebow-led Denver Broncos is any indication, look for a heavy dose of Tebow on Sunday, especially the “Spread Option Read Quarterback Counter.”.........
