There was one story line everyone was talking about coming into this game, and once it was over, the tale would only grow more intriguing.
Peyton Manning showed the NFL what it missed while he was injured for the entirety of the 2011 season. While it took a little while for the Denver offense to get in sync, and they found themselves on the sidelines as Pittsburgh dominated the time of possession in the third quarter, the game culminated in a rip roaring fourth quarter that made Broncos fans think big for the upcoming year.
But it’s important to remember there were two teams in this, and it wasn’t until a late pick-six that the Steelers lost control of the contest. Both will see positives, and both will see areas for improvements. Let’s focus on them.
