I'm not familiar with Kuherich. I thought it was Nixon after Buddy Parker.

Rep points to whomever can give me the first Steelers head coach (with year) to have a winning record(over.500).
Coincedentally, that would be the same coach to take us to the 1st, and only playoff game prior to Chuck Noll... and yes, we lost.
    Jock Sutherland?

...and your right about Kuherich...he was offered the job after Parker...accepted it ..then almost immediatly turned it down without actually ever having coached a game.

So it DID go from Parker to Nixon.

To be fair...I just was just reading up on Steelers history (in the last couple of months)...Jock stood out because he was a dentist by education...became a very good coach...and was found in a car stuck in the mud, disoriented, about one hour from where I was raised. He was dignosed with a tumor and died within a week to two weeks.

And who could forget Walt Kiesling? "Unitas is too dumb to remember the plays."
