Anyone that has played a single year of Pop Warner football can look at the replay and see that he had perfect positioning to drill him for the tackle. Then when someone else tackled him just before impact, he went upright and tried to minimize contact.

    That eliminates Goodell right there.

i can understand this one. Foote really threw that forearm into Collie's head. Even if the ball was caught that's illegal. Fair, but oh boy, i miss the days when fines werent one of the top topics of discussion around NFL boards...

There's no story here. Of course it's up to the league to determine if a fine will be given. In this case, there's nothing to fine. Larry was coming in at Collie's chest and Collie went down with the tackle from Ike right into the forearm. Larry even spun off but there really wasn't much that he could do.

If that gets fined, that's it for me. I'm beyond sick of the 100-yard Arena League powderpuff bullshit. I'll find something else to do with my Sundays during the Fall.

If this gets a fine, Goodell can shit in his hat. NO EXCUSES can be made for this. None at all.

If you can't review a touchdown call in which a quarterback SLID INTO THE FREAKING ENDZONE, I don't see how you can sit down and even CONSIDER fining someone because of an indecent like this! It's football, shit happens! I sure as hell don't think he did anything on purpose.

I need to see a full video of the hit, but just from looking at the picture...wow. If that gets fined, then I won't give a damn that I'll miss most of the Steelers games due to my schedule. I might just quit watching football altogether.

What is up with this if he had took his helmet to him I could see it. In my opinion should not be fined and being a Steeler has nothing to do with it.

I honestly wouldn't pay attention to anything that's said in this thread. We're all pissed at even the THOUGHT of the hit being REVIEWED and if a fine is handed about, chances are, all hell will break loose. I've told myself twice now that i'm DONE if he's fine, but even I know i'm bullshittin. If it actually happens, i'll just bitch and moan and PRAY that Foote goes for an appeal.

Well I hope they aren't serious. I understand the frustration and all but not to the extent of not watching the game and more specifically the Steelers.

I'm sick of this move toward pussyball, where basically you can't touch any receiver or QB without getting a freaking fine. My passion for the sport has already been waning for the past several years because of this bullshit. All this does is put another nail in the coffin for me. I've already stopped giving the league my money - everything Steelers-related I've gotten in the past 2 years have been gifts. I have simply had enough.

Well if it is something you don't love or want anymore then ok. I guess I'm looking at it from the point of still being a fan of the Steelers first and will buy stuff because I like to support and wear merchandise of my team. I also don't think my money is effecting the NFL as a whole too much lol. But anyway I hope you'd reconsider and also hope that wouldn't mean you'd be around here less. (goes for fansince'76 as well)

    Ummmmmm.............no.

That cannot, in any sane and rational universe, be construed as a fineable hit. If it is, then basically defenders will not be able to tackle with anything but their legs...Goodell will love the 300-296 scores, I guess, but it won't much fun for fans of defense.

Can we just fine Harrison for it as well. I'm sure he was giving Collie a dirty look from the sidelines.

I cannot decide which of these two things is more stupid, the possibility of Foote being fined for literally nothing, or the NY cops investigating bacon on the ground as a hate crime.

Seriously, what happened? Where did we go wrong as a society?

Not enough manual labor jobs to keep the masses tired. We have way too much time on our hands to analyze every friggin bullshit incident.
