Jerome Bettis got the morning off on the right foot when he jokingly took a shot at New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.
Joining “NFL AM,” the former Pittsburgh Steelers running back, who had 91 rushing touchdowns in 13 NFL seasons, was asked who the better goal line runner was, himself or Tebow.
“Well, I would have to say myself, because he doesn’t have 90 yet,” he said, chuckling. “If he gets up to 90, then I may have to concede.”
Very diplomatic, Mr. Bus.
Then host Brian Webber mentioned that Bettis also had three touchdown passes in his career.
“So you should be asking who is the better quarterback,” he said, busting out laughing.
Zing!
