LATROBE – Every time a national media type comes to camp, Ben Roethlisberger knows the drill. Surely he’ll be asked “How is your relationship with offensive coordinator Todd Haley?"
Such was the case Tuesday when reporters from ESPN, the Los Angeles Times and Cleveland Plain Dealer came to St. Vincent College to check out the Steelers.
“Good. It’s the same as the offense,” Roethlisberger said when asked about Haley. “Every day, we’re learning. We’ve been able to tweak things and communicate with each other.”
The Steelers’ quarterback added there’s been much ado over nothing when it comes to the transition from former OC Bruce Arians to Haley.
“It’s different. Different doesn’t mean good or bad. It’s just different,” Roethlisberger said. “We’ve worked hard in both the spring and here to really get a head start and really get going on this offense. Our relationship is good, and we’re really coming along with the offense. We’ve made progress every day.”
Roethlisberger, who missed practice Sunday due to a bruised foot, was back at practice Tuesday.
