The Pittsburgh Steelers hired offensive coordinator Todd Haley to light a fire under Ben Roethlisberger.
After the initial week of silence, everything in Steelerville has been right as rain between the coach and his new quarterback.
Defensive lineman Brett Keisel reiterated Tuesday on NFL Network’s “NFL AM” the two parties still are singing Kumbaya.
“They’ve been jelling well, all those guys have been picking up the offense well,” he said. “We expected some fireworks, but they have yet to blast off.”
As for his quarterback’s health — Roethlisberger recently told reporters he has a torn rotator cuff — Keisel said it’s just more media hype.
“He’s good, he’s fine, I think some of it has been a little bit exaggerated, but he’s fine, he’s going to be ready to go,” he said.
