Well....actually:

According to the New York Times, a team of genealogists has discovered the president's slave ancestry.

But ....then again...whats the difference? Both care very little about letting facts get in the way of a good story.

I think this comment from that article sums this up nicely:
"Lacking definitive proof"...well there's the big issue. Without proof, this is just a marketing ploy for Ancestry.com and has little to do with the President.
I could claim I'm descended from Queen Elizabeth I...from her illegitimate son...of course there's no definitive proof...which is pretty much the same as making it up.
