Public confidence in TV media at an all-time low

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/155585/am...s-new-low.aspx

Here's a story you probably didn't see on your cable news: Americans now have as little confidence in the TV media as they do in banks, unions, and big business. Anybody wonder why?

What I find really amusing is the breakdown by demographics.
For some reason Democrats have more confidence in the media than anyone else, yet the level of education is inversely proportional to confidence. Post-grads are very heavily Dems, yet they're the least likely to have confidence in the cable news.

This confirms something that we all already know: Unless you're incredibly naive or uneducated, you don't believe anything these morons are feeding you.

I hate the media in this country and I have for some time. As I always say, take what the media says with a grain of salt. I'm talking about all media outlets, Fox News, CNN, ESPN, etc.

The major media outlets are all basically privately owned companies. Want to win an election ? You don't have to make promises to, or pay serious attention to any lobbyist, except whats in the interests of the owners of the major networks... very efficient strategy.

I bet the Founding Fathers experienced the same thing in their day. Even with The First Amendment, there is still propaganda.

Fairly early on, there was a major problem with "yellow journalism". There was never a law passed to deal with it, but the media finally realized how out of control they'd gotten and started self-policing.
That was a long, long time ago and they've forgotten all the lessons from the last go-round.
