Ressel missed the final six games with what appears to be a hip injury so that's a strong indicator as to why he struggled.

Probably not the time or place, but I was always upset we didn't retain Darnell.

    James Stampley, FB, LSU
That would be a great story. He started out at LSU as a regular student. Walked on to the team later and eventually earned a scholly.

When we curbstomped Ole Miss, we had first and goal and the game was well in hand, so we gave Stampley the ball three times so he could score a touchdown. Only carries of his career.

His mechanics were messed up and he lost his confidence. I'm not sure how real the 'hip injury' was. There wasn't any talk of an injury until they sat him.

Aussie....this kid was raised and played right here in my area.

Very nice to see him get a shot with the Steelers.

Landon Walker, the OT from Clemson that my HS team played against every year, signed with the Bengals.

i think drew butler can make the team. He did not kick as well last season as he did previously but the kid can boom his kicks when he is on.

You are exactly right. He was struggling between the ears prior to the injury. The injury was real. He had a hip flexor injury he got in practice. But, the open competition for his job had started. Once the injury cropped up, his season was done.

He kicked well in previous seasons, but lost it as a senior. They must be hoping he gets it back.
