I've always said that there are a TON of people on the streets who can make it in the NFL, this is proof of that. I don't put too much stock in the "talent level" in the NFL; I think the coaches / trainers etc have blinders on and think inside the box when ti comes to getting players.

Getting the training and exposure are the main ingredients to make it onto a roster.

Yeah I'm familiar with this story, and I totally agree with BnG Hevn. There are a lot of guys who could play in the league who have never played football. I ran a pretty impressive 40 time two summers ago. One that would turn heads for someone my size. I'm not trying to say I could go out there and get 10 sacks in a season or anything, but there are a lot of "regular guys" who have that natural ability and jut don't know it because they've never played at any level or quit playing after high school. I believe if more guys did what this accountant did, there would be a lot more stories like this. The problem is it seems like a ridiculous idea because we're led to believe players in the league are super-humans. Which in some guys, they are. But Joe Schmoe 47th man on the roster probably isn't all that much better than you or I. But the preperation, will power and training makes all the difference.

That's really how it's done if you want to play in the NFL, get a recording contract, etc... Just go put in an application and resume, show them what you've got during the "interview", and take it from there.
