Dont understand the jets doing this.
Jets fan chant:TEBOW,TEBOW,TEBOW
Talk radio will suck here now - God help me .
If all you're talking about is winning, then how is it a bad choice? You have Sanchez starting and throw in your wildcat offense, It would create that much more work for the DC of the other team.
Imagine having to do your normal preparation for Sanchez and then have to add prep for Tebow? If Tebow can move the ball when being used as a starter, he should ABSOLUTELY be able to move the ball as a "fill in".
Makes sense. The team lost Brad Smith and are looking for another WildCat player. Tebow fits that bill.
It doesn't make sense because they don't have a clear cut strong starter. This just begs for a situation where they find Sanchez having a few struggles and the Tebowmania will ensue and it will be nothing but trouble. Sanchez doesn't have the strong leader mentality ti will take to endure that and in a year or two they will be trash searching for another HC and another QB.
Oh, and kudos to Elway for one of the greatest escapes in NFL history. He saved the Broncos bigtime.
Merry Christmas
Now the Jets have 2 Quarterbacks that can't throw
I don't think Tebow wearing his religion on his sleeve is going to play well in the Big Apple at all.
This is really the correct way to use Tebow. If you use him to confuse and deceive about 10 or 15 plays a game, it works for the same reason Kordell Stewart worked in that role. If you put him in as the starter, he'll suck for the same reason Kordell Stewart sucked - that type of crap is no longer confusing if you do it every down, so you're left with just a below-average QB. Will be interesting to see where they go with this.
See you Space Cowboy ...
Tebow + QB controversy + biggest media market in America = Amazing
@ACromartie
Y bring Tebow in when we need to bring in more Weapons for @Mark_Sanchez let's build the team around him. We already signed to 3 year ext.

If Holmes thought playing with Sanchez is rough, wait until the fans pressure Rex into starting Tebow a few weeks into the season. That team is going to have the worst chemistry of all time.
As far as the move from an actual football standpoint, the Jets made an awful deal. Sure, he'll run the wildcat. But Joe McKnight can run it fine. I don't see how you use 4th round pick to acquire a wildcat quarterback. Tebow isn't there to run specific packages, he'll be the starter at some point. It's a shame too, I thought we might get to see Drew Stanton have a chance this year.
A 4th round pick (and a 6th?) to motivate a lazy starting QB might be worth it.
If you have a mediocre quarterback, you don't trade for Tebow. The fans will be screaming for him as soon as Sanchez throws his first pick.
But as long as TT finds a way to win, I'm glad to see him in the AFC East...
The Jets and Broncos deal may have a hangup in it according to Adam Schefter . If the deal is nullified , its possible that Tebow goes to St. Louis . It has to do with money going to Denver
The same money issues in Tim Tebow's contract caused complications for Jacksonville trying to complete trade. Now Jets facing them.
Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex.
