Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex.

I mean, what's going on these days? Is there a new rule that says you have to pay your QB $10M+ even if he's not that good? Used to be a guy like that would be making a about a third of that, with a chance to hit it big if he ever, you know ... DID something to prove he was worth being paid like a franchise QB. Then you see things like ... Kyle Orton for $9M, Alex Smith for $8M, Matt Cassel for $11M. Seems like now they just pay everyone like a franchise QB and out of some hope that getting paid like one will make you improve into actually being one.

Well, if the media is to be believed, there are at least 37 franchise QBs in the NFL, and 20 of those are in the top 5.

I just don't think the head coach is strong enough to handle all the chaos this move is going to bring. I wouldn't mind having the player, but everything that comes with him? And a fourth round pick? That's a lot of baggage for a gadget player.
