Re: The pros and cons of hiring Tim Tebow

Im sorry but I dont get the Tebow hype, hes just not very good. When most of the pluses that describe your qb are about his personality and not his football skills you are in trouble. All he does is win? Look at the teams they beat during Tebow mania and the manner in which they won, not to mention he lost the last 3 games of the regular season. They were 1-4 when tebow took over and finshed 8-8 not exactly a miracle performance. Give teams a full offseason to watch tape on this guy and he will be right up on the shelf next to the wildcat collecting dust.

If I was on the broncos defense I would be celebrating tebows departure in denver. That denver defense was awsome in that 6 game winning streak and tebow recieved all that credit for the wins.

I could see how he could be useful in running a few trick plays, or just causing confusion by being on the field. Beyond that, I don't think anyone but a crackhead would trust him to run their offense.

He doesn't have much upside as a backup either. Who would want a backup that you would have to throw out your whole playbook for if the starter ever got hurt?
