Tuck credits Rex’s Jets for Giants' turnaround

Justin Tuck isn’t ready to vote the Jets a playoff share if the Giants win the Super Bowl, but the defensive end still gives them credit for their role in turning around the season.

Basking in the 20-17 overtime victory against the 49ers in the NFC Championship late Sunday night, Tuck pointed to the Giants’ Dec. 24 win over the Jets and the week leading up to it for sparking his team’s remarkable transformation.

“You can say that, since we haven’t lost since then,” the veteran said, recalling the Giants’ hard-fought 29-14 “road” win over the Jets at MetLife Stadium. “That week was an emotional week for everyone. We started to click that week.”

Biggest loser of Superbowl XLVI are Rex Ryan and the New York Jets. Jets will always be the "little brother" of the Giants.

You are barely tasting what it is to be a Red Sox fan.

Oh man, the possibilities for a humorous response are endless here. You're lucky this isn't in a "everything goes" forum. haha

So what's the vibe in New England about this one?

We have two wide receivers starting on defense, and Gronkowski might not play. I'm being as optimistic as can be.

Gronk finished the AFCCG; he'll play. I think the Giants have the best shot, but I'll never underestimate BB's ability to game plan for any opponent.

I'm sure they'll attack Kareem McKenzie on defense (either blitz there or line up Vince Wilfork over there). He's been like a swinging gate. We shall see.

Yeah, it should be a good game. The Giants look really tough right now, but they did go 9-7 in the regular season. I mean, a team that finishes just above .500 has to have some exploitable weaknesses, regardless of how well they're clicking.

The 9-7 thing had a little to do with injuries, but yes they were in one of those mid season funks. The scary part is how they're peaking now. Beat a top offense two weeks ago and hung tough against a damn good defense this past week. I'd want to say they've got this, but I'm not that dumb.

Pats seem to be playing great at the right time too. Like you said, should be a good one. Good luck (but not really).
