Pwaaah pwaah pwaaaah! Fail. Is Andy Reid safe?

On another note, Broncos are SB bound. Teebow fever. Interesting experiment. A fullback as a quarterback. Arians won't even use a fullback.

We should fire him tonight before the game and hire Tebow to be our OC.

To be fair with the Eagles, the injury bug hasn't been very kind to them. However, I am not that surprised that the Eagles crashed and burned this year.

    Like any one is surprised?

Michael Vick surprised everyone last season coming out of jail and off the bench and now the book is out on him this year. Another 100 million flushed.

The most shocking thing to me about this whole Dream Team is the play of Asomugha. When he was with Oakland I thought he was the best corner in the league - better than Revis. He has been horrific all season. William Gay is having a better season than him. I don't care if it's switching from man-coverage to zone-coverage or whatever you wanna call it. There's no excuse for getting paid that much and playing that badly.

Silver & Black has repeatedly stated he was overrated. He was right, looks like.

No CB is as good as the hype that had built up around this guy. Half of it was that people were afraid to throw at him because of his reputation - and on the Raiders, why not pick on someone else. Makes perfect sense.

When you take a bunch of egomaniac fatheads and put them not only on the same team but the same unit, nothing good is ever going to come out of it.

That being said, however, I would hate to see Andy Reid go.

    Re: The "Dream Team"

    I had them at 10-6...Now I'm thinking 6-10.

When will they learn? You CANNOT BUY CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Remember what Willie Parker said after his stint in Washington? He said that the Redskins were not a legitimate football organization. The players didn't give a shit about the team, they cared about money, bling and partying. The players had no sense of teamwork or solidarity, they were all just openly gunning for each others jobs. This isn't baseball or even basketball where one isolated player "doing his thing" can make that much of a difference, it's a team sport and each player is inexorably tied into the playing ability of the next.

The weakest link of the chain determines it's strength, not the strongest. A big ego taking plays off is enough to weaken the whole structure. It's why I harp so much on execution over actual play calling. If you line up 11 guys and TELL the other team you're going to hand the ball off up the middle ten times in a row, if the offense plays as a team, and really gives an effort, while the defense just goes through the motions, the offense will have success even though the D knows what is coming. The Eagles have talent all over the field, but they don't play as a unit, they play as individuals. That will not work in football.

Looks like Steelers management made the right call again. A lot of us (me included) wanted Asomugha. A lot of us (me included) also wanted to run William Gay out of town.

And yet he's still third in fan voting in the NFC for the Pro Bowl, while Carlos Rogers, who is far more deserving of the honor as far as this season is concerned, is fourth...

In asomugha's defense, the eagles just aren't using him correctly. They are actually playing to his weaknesses more so than his strengths.

Hmmm....must be a glitch or something. As you know, Pro Bowl voting is generally done after much thought and research by fans and players alike.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised he's only 3rd in fan balloting. I figured he'd be in first or second due to name recognition and (over)hype.

That's exactly the point I was making. It aint hard to be great when you're never challenged.

Aso is a good guy and I wish him the best, but he's only "maybe" a little better than average.

And that is what Aso is...a man-to-man lockdown guy, yet the Eagles are scheming him to play zone. Reid is a genius though..so it will workout...
